Thimphu Tshechu Festival Tour - 9 Days / 8 Nights
Day 1: Paro.
Arrival at Paro International Airport. Transfer to hotel. O/N Hotel.
Day 2: Paro-Thimphu.
After breakfast hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery. Afternoon drive to Thimphu. Enroute visit Simtokha Dzong. Evening at leisure. O/N Hotel.
Day 3: Thimphu Tshechu.
After an early breakfast attend the 1st day of the Tshechu, held in the courtyard of Tashichho Dzong. Lunch at Hotel, return to venue and continue attending the Thimphu Tshechu. O/N Hotel.
Day 4: Thimphu Tshechu.
Attend full day Thimphu festival. Evening at leisure O/N Hotel.
Day 5: Thimphu-Punakha.
After breakfast drive to Punakha, the Ancient Capital of Bhutan with a stop at Dochu La Pass (3200 m). After lunch in Punakha, visit the Dzong which houses the largest monastic body in Bhutan and also famed for its location. O/N Hotel.
Day 6: Punakha – Wangdue – Punakha.
After breakfast drive 12 km north of Punakha Valley and from the road point, hike for 30 minutes to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten, which is located on a beautiful hillock overlooking the villages. It contains elaborate paintings dedicated to Nyingma Sect of Buddhism. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the way. Hike back to road point and drive back to Punakha. O/N Hotel
Day 7: Punakha-Thimphu
Drive to Thimphu. Afternoon at leisure, shopping, strolling around town. O/N Hotel.
Day 8: Thimphu – Paro
After breakfast visit Memorial Chorten, Painting School, Traditional Medicine and Handmade Paper Factory. Afternoon drive to Paro. Evening at leisure. O/N Hotel.
Day 9: Departure. Transfer to Airport.

Day 1: Paro.

Day 3: Paro.
After breakfast visit the National Museum (Ta-Dzong), formerly a watch tower for the Paro Rinpung Dzong. Also visit Kyichu Lhakhang. Evening at leisure and stroll around the town. O/N Hotel
Day 4: Paro – Thimphu
After breakfast hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest)Monastery. Afternoon drive to Thimphu. Evening at leisure. O/N Hotel.
Day 5: Thimphu

Day 8: Departure. Transfer to Airport.
